My boyfriends mother passed away and I went with him to another state. I did not bring my car and cannot drive his truck. We've been here over a week. Will I still be able to door dash when I get back home? How long will they keep me if Im out of state and not in a dashing zone?? #my2018drives

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to Dash when you get back home! Just make sure you mark yourself as unavailable so no jobs come to you!

The Importance Of Community at Jobcase and Lyft

#Lyft #Community #My2018Drives

Lyft drivers and riders are fanned out across the entire country, yet the power of the Lyft community transcends this distance. Sound familiar?

Somewhere between reading stories of “random acts of kindness,” the recognition of standout drivers, and the ability for everyone to connect with and learn from each other, it becomes apparent that the sense of community among Lyft drivers is not that different from the actual community here at Jobcase.

There’s something personal about giving someone a ride: the way it can make their day (or yours), that feeling of knowing you’re helping someone out. Even if you have a silent and on-the-phone passenger, still, it’s not a taxi, it’s not a bus...you’re sharing a car – your car – with someone. That’s why the whole Lyft experience is more of an interaction than merely a transaction.

Right now, Jobcase is running a contest for Lyft drivers – we’re giving away a brand-new Ford Fiesta. To enter, we’re asking Lyft drivers to visit our community and share a story of a memorable ride. Visit the contest page to post your story and view details.

“Is this for real?” You might be asking yourself. We assure you: yes, THIS CONTEST IS REAL! We want to help you. Last year’s winner, Mohamed, is pictured below in his new ride, and you can watch the video of the big reveal and read his winning entry.

In our Jobcase community, Lyft drivers are encouraged and empowered to share their experiences. Here at Jobcase, members are the engine of our community: your experiences and points of view are what fuels the journey of others. That’s why we’re asking Lyft drivers to share a story of a memorable drive: a drive where you helped someone out, or laughed so hard you cried, or maybe even made a new friend...a drive that became unforgettable.

We can’t wait to read your story.
