She wanted to tip me I said no
Just started at McDonald's like 3 weeks ago and so far so good. I am still in high school so I am not full time but I like my hours tho. This lady comes in all the time and last Friday she tells me how nice I am and she hands me a dollar. I told her she doesn't need to tip me and I gave it back. My co-workers said I was crazy, but I wanted to do the right thing.

I felt appreciated at #McDonalds....
Said no one ever. I worked there for 5 years, 4 at one store, 1 at another. When I worked at my first store i was cursed at (in front of customers), made to do other peoples jobs, and was physically hurt and told to quit after I hurt myself. While managers themselves were sexually harassing employees and situations not safe for work were on the daily, I kept my nose down and worked. And yet I never moved up in the company. Not even a step up. Instead, these employees who had sexual relationships with managers got promoted over me. It was a literal nightmare. I've wanted to write letters to corporate many times, but locally owned restaurants don't get as much heat as franchises. So instead I put my foot down and quit. And i haven't looked back since.

Before your interview at #Mcdonalds make sure to...
Literally nothing but wear black pants and shoes! They hire EVERYONE that makes it to interview.

McDonald’s was not what I expected…
I recently lost a job that I really liked and I was having trouble getting anything in my area so I filled out an application at McDonald’s cause I was getting desperate and they called me in for an interview. Within just a short time I was hired.
Now I guess this is my own judgement, but I really didn’t expect it to be this much fun! My manager is a cool guy and there are a bunch of nice people I’ve met through this job so far. I especially like it when we get a rush of people and the time just flies. Just goes to show you never know what you’ll like until you actually try something! I’m still applying around, but it feels so much better to be applying to places when I’ve got a job already. No matter what happens I know I’ll look back on this time at McD’s fondly.

One More Day
