I was given the task to lock down our data transport network nodes from ANY unauthorized access. In less than three months, our "unplanned" outage's dropped by over 90% because all engineers were forced to use their personal logins.

When I showed up every day with a smile and an upbeat aditued! It made people love to be around me and brightened their day! I always do my job to the best of my ability and I always do it with a friendly smile. That's how I made a difference.

......When I stayed late to better prepare for the next day and when, while often difficult, showed enthusiasm for the job caring nothing for any reward or kudos because, well, I just liked the job.

I made a difference when I'd walk in for a shift and greet my clients.......and see their eyes light up because they were happy to see me.

At my previous position as Guest Service Manager I am delighted to say we were #1 in Guest Service after 2 years of making changes is Standard of Operations with proper training of Guest Service and being supportive with each Department and giving a personal touch with our guest follow up and interaction. It truly was a team effort to accomplish this.

I hate it when people say "It's not my job". I will usually take responsibility and do that task. It may not have been my job, but I always like to see the work completed and not sitting there because nobody wants to do a difficult task.
