Last year at work I #MadeADifference when...

I made a significant difference in my work last year. I was assigned as the Lead Engineer representing my Group/Department, which consisted of 8 people. As the Lead Engineer, my responsibilities were to: represent my Group (Equipment Engrg) at Project Meeting presenting Group status for the bought-out items for Power Industry, such as: 1) Large fans/small fans, 2) large pumps, 3) Air Heaters, 4) hoists/cranes/trolleys, & 5) Selective Catalytic Reduction System. Due to my previous position as Sr Project Engr, I put my skills to strong use in managing the personnel in my Group, which included: 1) Strong and precise communications, 2) sitting with each person in Group and discuss their status, 3) Ensure that the Client's Tech Spec is being adhered to, 4) Weekly Schedule updates are being made, if running late, how do we get the schedule back on-track, 5) Review and ensure adherence/acceptance that the Group's Man-hour Burn Rate remains in line w/the estimate over the duration and 6) Take accountability of the Equipment Group for the Project. Many comments from the Project Team related to, "this has the best executed project from the Equipment Group in years"..

Last year at work I #MadeADifference when...

Last year I made a difference when I assisted 12 families on my caseload of 25 imoved from transitional housing into their own apartments or was reunited with family. I made a difference when I assisted the adults on my caseload with obtaining employment and needed financial assistance; such as: S.S.I/S.S.D or Publc assistance. I further made a difference when I assisted some of my caseload families with enrolling their 3 year old children in school. I made a difference when I assisted some of my caseload families with getting much needed medical, and mental health treatment.

I #MadeADifference at work when...

...I made a suggestion to senior management (when I had a moment at the elevator, so that I did not undermine my supervisor). I suggested pursuing an incremental research study to an existing client, and the client agreed to a pilot program.

Last year at work I #MadeADifference when...

I made a difference when i could help my Agents see that they could be in control of their metric performance with educating on what was expected, revealing to them with specific examples how they already were performing, and showing them a path to their own goals. Sometimes it meant helping them over to another division better suited to their skill set, other times it meant correction and helping them move past that to small goals. I helped them be in control of their own situation!
