I stayed at Lowe's in order to learn what frontline retail workers experience as well as the day to day operations of a big box retail outlet. Moreover, I love customers and providing customer service. Concurrently I was learning I had the skills to excel at sales.
Good people good environment
Two months notice when they will be cutting hours like they expect when an employee wants time off. That way the employee can find other employment and not go without a paycheck.
Was the support from upper management. There was no mentors. The more skills and years of Home Improvement experience you had,the more the ASM team did not like you.It truly was sad.As a manager ,I was always taught to lead and push people in a positive manner. That wasn't the case for 6 years at store #1933.Yuba City ca.95993
There's not much to say
Lowe's is a great company to work for. The benefits are decent for part timers and pretty good for full timers. They took great care of employees during Covid.
Wear a low cut blouse, wink at the manager, don't wear a wedding ring. Gets you more hours it does.
I did not feel that Lowes was fair on their Transfer Policy. I had 25 yrs. Of Retail experience and applied to Transfer to over 20 different stores in Florida and was turned down each time. Also wouldn't Transfer within the store I worked in.
Someone asked about Lowe's hiring practice. Email, phone call, interview, second interview, phone call. Be prepared to answer questions about past life and work experiences. I applied through Indeed. #interview #advice #Lowe's
