I AM SOOO HAPPY! I got my accounts back! I’ve been a little discombobulated due to my accounts being hacked into. I got them back along with my life and now I can be productive and get my life on track! I will be at an interview tomorrow and if all goes well I’ll be working next week!

Back to school!

Special shoutout to all the #retail workers out there who have been in back to school mode for weeks. Facebook reminded me today that in 2011, I worked 88 hours as a store manager during our peak week of shopping.

I know my story isn’t unique and I know a lot of people stay late and come in early regularly. Thank you for showing up when your feet hurt, when parents yelled at you, when you didn’t want to fold anymore clothes for someone to destroy in 5 minutes, and when you gave up another holiday weekend! I appreciate you all!

If you’re shopping this weekend, be kind!

08/31/21 Yesterday I finally cleared my day to have NO interruptions To be on hold as much as possible for EDD success I did around 430P I spoke to a few people. And by the end of this day I had resolved ALL my EDD ISSUES & will receive back pay from Jan. 4, 2021 till September 4, 2021. I will receive my funds I’ve been waiting for since Dec. 27, 2020. GOOD LUCK TO ANYONE ELSE TRYING TO GET BENEFITS!

I found a job!

I was scrolling Indeed and came across a job opening that I had applied for a few times and never received a response. I have the qualifications and really wanted to work there so I called! I kindly asked if there was an issue with my resume. She took my name and number. Within 10 minutes I had a call and an interview! I got hired on the spot! It's an Assisted living facility in DeLand where my mom lived until she passed last year so it feels like home to me. I'm so happy and excited to be their next Front Desk associate. Oh..and both of my interviewers stated they never saw my resume. They had received one in July that would not open.

I'm in Georgia. I applied for unemployment in late April. After months of receiving nothing along with no answering the phone at GDOL or my emails, I contacted my state congressman and ultimately the governor's office. Finally, I started receiving benefits back to mid-June but not to April. I guess anything is better than nothing... #unemployment
