Owner and Operator

This is a purpose I would love to support and will begin looking at RFPs that meet the objective of serving the communities employment pool that have challenges gaining meaningful employment.

POWERFUL TIPS OF THE RICH AND FAMOUS! [IBYC]

SUCCESS ALWAYS LEAVES TIPS TO FOLLOW:

If you do your homework on the Rich and Famous (For example: Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lopez, Bill Gates, Michael Jordan, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas or Warren Buffet) what do they all have in common? They all carry a pen and paper [or 3x5 card] at all timed, and at least two (2) major goals are written down to accomplish on that day.

FOUR SUCCESSFUL TIPS TO HELP YOU SUCCEED: (Do this please it can make a difference!)

#1. Always have a pen available. (Capture the important things that inspires you.) #2. Always carry a 3x5 Cards or piece of paper. (Capture one great idea and life changes.) #3. Always have the most important things written down in advance. (Write down at least two goals for the day and keep it on your person.) #4. Always take action on what you believe. (It’s time to trust your faith-power.)

TURNKEY: Pen and paper; Two goals written down; Review goals during the day; Make mental or physical effort towards achieving them.

A pen and paper can be likened to a "VISA" Card...Don't ever leave home without it!

I Believe You Can...!

Corporate greed kills me

I'm so tired of corporate greed. They really could give two shits about you. I worked hard for a company, was always one of the first to show up. That got me nothing more than standing in the unemployment line. I mean...the owners are cold! They knew I recently lost my dad a month ago...just bought a car and have a baby on the way...and I'm laid off....

My best day(s) at #ClackamasCommunityCollege was:

After my first A; I realized that I could learn the material and provide additional learning/ leadership opportunities to myself and others. I was elected the President of the college's Computer Club (C5). Becoming involved with Student Government and presenting a plan to the department chair; C5 was able to acquire used computer parts. As a club, we were able to assemble desktop computers and us a Linux distro as the OS - Then, sell raffle tickets from the same computers, the club built. Because of the raffle(s), the C5 club grew in membership by 25% and revenue by 600%. Success came from allowing members to become leaders. Inspire creativity and focus with two goals in mind: Increase membership and revenue. Those were my best day(s) at #ClackamasCommunityCollege. #ClackamasCommunityCollegeComputerClub; #Leadership; #C5; #Computers; #Government; #President.

Who was your best mentor and why?

Everyone is a leader. As John Maxwell said, leadership comes down to one thing - influence. You influence more people than you know. Many of us can trace lessons learned back to a great mentor. Who was your best mentor? Who taught you valuable lessons and/or challenged your assumptions? What's the best thing you learned from them? How do you pay it forward? Thank you for sharing!

My first club was a community club in Stafford County, Virginia. People there were very warm and welcomed guests with open arms. I gave my first speech a week later and have been a Toastmaster in five other clubs in Virginia and now Chicago. I recommend anyone go there for a really open atmosphere where personal growth is encouraged.

CEO

Throughout my career, I have shown the leadership needed to motivate and inspire employees, resulting in the success of both the employee and the company. I believe in delivering a quality product, assuring the highest possible guest satisfaction.

My hotel experience includes all aspects of the industry, from planning, development and construction, to pre-opening installation and training. I have managed all departments, from sales and marketing to rooms and food & beverage. The guests I served, were from all walks of life, families on vacation, individual and business travelers, including overseeing visitations by 4 US presidents.

My other business experiences include real estate management and sales, as well as non-profit management and fund development, dealing with high level donors. I am looking to join a company where my experience and leadership skills will be valued and I can make a contribution.
