You are REALLY asking??

I’m so tired of ILLEGAL questions from employers! You wouldn’t believe the questions they ask these days, trying to find out if you have a disability. Even after you get the job offer, they still ask all sorts of illegal questions like “Have you ever been treated for mental illness?” Yes, I have thank you, I have epilepsy and I take medication for it and no it is NOT going to affect my job.

Taking the right job

Is it wrong to take a job and quit in a month to take a better job? Should I tell the employer I have a chance at a better job later when it opens up? Or stay quiet in case I don't get the other job?

offered salary?

After many years job experiences and other jobs offered in low salary why? If no fault when the company laid off their employees for a reason. Then employee searching jobs with basically or similiar why can't get this offered and why have to start from bottom line that is not meet their living expenses?

New job

I actually got a job 2 weeks ago working in food again. It wasn't somewhere I wanted to work but I really needed the job so I took it.As I worked my daily schedule the first week,I was actually noticed by recruiters and a district manager for a different company. They approached me and said they had been watching me through the windows all week and loved how I work and my customer service skills.Needless to say I was shocked and proud! Lol I told them I would think about changing jobs and they offered me $2.00 an hour more than my current pay rate.Well folks ,being nice and doing your job to the best of your ability WILL pay off!! I'm happy to say I start on Jan.31,2017!!

Tough Decision

I've worked at a job for almost 12 years.Ok Pay but very good benefits, pension, sick time, holidays etc..Been passed over for promotions twice the second time not even an interview.I have an opportunity to go back to work the company I worked for previously with a possibility of training for a supervisory position,as the replacement for the guy I will be working for.I know when it sounds too good to be true it probably is..I have not gotten a compensation offer yet,But feel that they won't even come close to my current package because its so good.My questions are, should i ask for more than I'm making now to make it worth me leaving?..I don't want to overprice myself for the job.I dont want to make a move for less money. The new job is highly technical and I know that the co. can't find qualified help. Its a very tough decision for me and I never had to deal with something like this.I feel like I may be at an advantage regarding negotiations. They may also blow my doors off with an offer I cant refuse but doubt it.Please Help! THANKS..

Asking for thr job.......

So it has been 1-2 mos since my interview. It went very well. I have been told the office moves slows. (Really?) But I want this job. I have also been told that they want me!! (WooHoo, I think...) But the person who is doing the hiring has not said, "I want to hire you" , directly to me. I have dropped a few e-mails just to stay in touch. But the longer this goes, the more I am worried, and my finances, oh, the finances! And the comptroller in the office, sadly, recently passed about 2 wks ago. So how do I say, WHEN, are you going to hire me???

Led to believe I got the job twice!

I have had two interviews with the same company. (It's a big company) For two different jobs. Both times the interviewers pretty much had me convinced I would get the job. They would say things like You have my vote so I'm definitely telling them I want you to work for me. So I'll call you in a couple days.... or this last time I got Oh yes, I love you so let me get the other interviews out of the way, I've already scheduled them so I have to do them! Then I'll call you and tell you when to come in to take your picture.... Both times I was very excited and then extremely upset and hurt.... There are a couple more jobs open I got emails on so I'm debating to even apply for them??? Should I? Maybe just not expect anything or if they do build me up don't believe it till it really happens!? What do you think? Thank you......
