The biggest mistake I made as a #Visaofficer at #ItalianConsulate ...

The biggest mistake I made as a visa officer was the day I misplaced a wrong visa in an applicants passport , but thankfully I reported the incident to my boss the Consul General and it was resolved as soon as possible .

The most stressful work day at the Italian Consulate was any day we had a lot of visa applications to sort which creates a backlog and we had to work extra hours or on weekends which wasn’t soo stressful even.

I acted professional by staying calm and collected and tried to handle the situation but when it didn’t seem to work as best as I wanted or thought I had to call on my senior colleague to intervene and the situation was resolved.

What I loved working at #ItalianConsulate

I loved the idea of being a part of people’s happiness, because I saw the joy on applicants faces when they get a positive response on their visa application , I also had the opportunity to meet people and the job was fun .
