My advice to people interested in working at #Kuehneandnagel as a #InventoryControl ...

There's too much favoritism, bad practices and bad management. I wouldn't work there only if it's absolutely no other options. If you are not kissing your managers, supervisors and general manager butt you will NOT move up within the company at all no matter how honest and hard worker you are. You will eventually start feeling like you are belittled and a peasant within the company. Also the hours ALWAYS changes inconveniencing you and a lot of people with childrens which cause people to either quit or be fired due to attendance.

The biggest mistake I made as a #InventoryControl/IPDept at #TEConnectivity ...

When I started my employment with the company I over shipped materials. I hated that. But my fault for not double checking my workers .

Seeking informational interview: inventory control and security (New York City)

I might have an opportunity to shift fields doing inventory control. I am wondering if anyone is or knows someone in this field to whom I could talk to get an idea of what this field entails, and maybe even get some pointers.

The company has an inventory control database, but does not make use of as many modern technologies to keep the database current and up to the minute: e.g. UPC scanners to scan incoming and outgoing inventory. Much of it is still being done by hand.

I do not come from this background and will be trying to learn how I can can effectively convince him to make investments that, while they will have up front costs and training/learning curve, will benefit him and his company in the end.

Any help appreciated.
