The training you would need is common sense and if you are a clean person you would clean like you would want your room to look and other than that if a certain way for the set it then you would need training for that.

Well it's a pretty basic way of thinking. You keep your home clean and you probably know what you look at when you enter someone's home. Floors, bathrooms, kitchen, those 3 things are what every person sees. I have over 20 yrs experience in all genres of housekeeping and it's pretty much just common sense and no training is really necessary because most housekeeping positions will train you if you get hired. A sense of detail and great customer service, dependability, honesty and flexibility with your schedule are really the only tools you need to be a great housekeeper and a special touch, something that fits your style or uniqueness , such as folding a customer's towels in the bathroom a fancy way or leaving the toilet paper folded into a triangle, or if you're maki g beds arrange the pillows nicely, anything that let's the customer know that they're special will definitely score you a tip or a good word to your boss or their fellow neighbors ( if you're self employed as a maid) those special details will get you more work or a raise or good tips.
