My first day as a #ROOMATTENDANT at #KempinskihotelGoldCoastCity : What I'd do differently

My first day at kempinski hotel Goldcoast city was one of the memorable days of my life, I was very excited when I got their appointment letter and 14 September, 2015 was my first day to start and it was pre opening of the hotel and I am one of the pioneers of the hotel, during that day we all met at the entrance of the hotel in a long queue, at that time I met different people those already in the industry and beginner's, later the managers and the human resource also came and we were moved to go and see the interior and exterior part of the hotel. We were later moved to a big ballroom were all the managers were introduced to us, frankly it was very interactive and interesting, I was happy for the career I chose because it gives me the opportunity to meet different kind of people from all walks of life. We took pictures and there was a lot, I did believe I can do something differently because I have passion for the job and I was very enthusiastic that I can deliver excellent service to my guest and the hotel as a whole.

Returning to work after stroke...

I had a stroke five years ago and with a lot of hard work and great medical care I was able to recover well enough to return to work part-time about two-and-a-half years ago. Recently I started a new job at a small independently-owned hotel that has no reservation system and requires the front desk people to enter reservations manually based on emails that come in through Gmail. I have had some issues with memory and accuracy. It is not a matter of physical deficits because look at me you can't tell I had a stroke but I am suffering from these subtle cognitive deficits. I have never told my employer that I've had a stroke and I think he's starting to get impatient with my slow progress so I'm not sure how to proceed or if I should even stick around at this new job. Any advice is welcome...
