Vet tech in need of online work

I've been a vet tech for a few years now. I love the career but with things getting crazier by the day with this Coronavirus outbreak... I need to have a back up.

My FT hours have been cut DRASTICALLY as we're only taking emergency cases and we have to rotate those slim hours through 8 techs.

I've never done work online, but I am eager and willing to learn. Where do you think I should/could start?

Worried about them

Real worried about my folks. They are in their 70's and I am nervous with this virus. They also live across the country. I told em the best thing they can do is get their groceries delivered, wash their hands and not go out and talk to the neighbors. Anyone else worried about their parents? I can't be the only one.

Delivery Driver Safety Precautions

Are you a delivery driver?

Many platforms have now added an option to have a "no contact drop off" which customers can select when checking out online. This tells the driver to leave the package on the front steps or porch instead of handing it right to the customer. This allows drivers to limit their chances of contracting coronavirus.

If you're a driver, what extra safety steps have you taken to keep yourself and others healthy? All tips are helpful!!

Trying to keep my patience with JERK callers...

I work at a call center for a major credit card company. We’re offering financial relief solutions for individuals that were affected by Coronavirus

I had a convo with a woman yesterday who was demanding that ALL of her credit card debt get forgiven because she had been laid off from her job. Long story short, she was screaming at me saying “I don’t care that she has kids and is going to be living under a bridge if she has to keep paying her debt.”

I wish we had guidelines in place for representatives if there’s a customer being a jerk! Maybe a way to flag them in the system...

Free Starbucks

I work as a nurse and frankly I am EXHAUSTED! I NEED my caffeine. I saw on FB that Starbucks is giving away free coffee to first responders, healthcare workers and pretty much anyone else on the front lines dealing with the coronavirus. Just wanted to share if that's you grab a free coffee. We could use the win right now.

Unemployment Stimulus Package.. $600?

Does anyone know if those of us who were already on unemployment before the pandemic will qualify for the $600 more a week? I filed 2/4 and am wondering if I would get the $600 extra? (Assuming it passes) #coronavirus #unemployment

It's very difficult but if you have underlying conditions they may flare up do to stress and anxiety. I have COPD and had to practice extreme patience at home for several weeks thinking my symptoms may be the coronavirus. I think you will inow if the flare up has different symptoms than usual. If you have online or phone contact with doctor that can help guide you to a decision. #coronavirus

In order for me to pay my monthly bills I have to work two jobs. I am in the State of Utah. I work my full time job mainly so I have medical and life insurance benefits. I waitress one to two days a week and bring home more money than my full time job. Unfortunately due to the Corona Virus I can’t work my waitressing job. Am I eligible for unemployment insurance for that job?
