It is both. Overtime when handled correctly can be a blessing. But people have gotten so used to overtime they take it for granted and then in walks upper management who removes OT and just like that bankruptcy cases ensue

We ALL have had an interview experience we wish never happened, our very own interview horror story. So in the spirit of Halloween next week, let's share some! Here is John's story...

"I went for a job in the Ministry of Defence when I was about 17, at the civil service. I walked into the interview room REALLY confident. One little issue, when I tried to take my coat off I inadvertently ripped the buttons on my shirt, tearing it WIDE open and literally flashing a table full of people. Then it gets worse...

After I had composed myself they then asked my opinions on devolution. I misheard and thought they said “evolution”, and started to ramble on and on about Charles Darwin. They politely just let me continue with lots of tapping of fingers on the desk and raised eyebrows. I couldn't understand WHY they were so upset.

Needless to say, I was not offered the job and felt like an idiot. At the time it seemed traumatic, but now that I look back on it, it's pretty funny. I ended up with a better job too."

It's important to remember that even BAD interviews teach us how to be prepared for the next ones! Learning from our mistakes is always better than repeating them : )

Do YOU have an interview horror story to tell? Share it with us!
