Extra time means extra money. Compensation for the best years of your life.
End of story, next subject!

It depends. Is your employer using overtime as a way to avoid hiring additional employees? Does it result in constant overworking and burnout? Yes the money's nice, but IMO overtime should be something that's used in a crunch situation, not as an almost mandatory thing. It shouldn't be used as leverage, nor should you be punished for not doing it.

It's a curse by the time there done taking out taxes you have very little left

CURSE!

It's a blessing if you work 1-10 hours overtime(I've seen and compared). However; anything much over that(15 hrs, 20 hrs etc;) it becomes a curse because more taxes get taken out. You're often better off working a full time job and a separate side gig.

Blessing

It’s a curse, the last job I had wouldn’t let us take any kind of vacation but mandated us to work one of our days off and if staff didn’t show up you were mandated to stay over unless you were already on a 16 hour shift. We were so short staffed that we would easily do 3 doubles a week..so yeah 64 hours a week and that was every week. Yeah the money was good…but we were so exhausted and god forbid you call in if you were sick, they’d analyze u on the phone for about 5 minutes till they excused ur day..smh

A curse because if you work too many hours over you are just working to pay the government

Blessing...too many companies cut your hours
I think it's a blessing because when you need the money you can have the chance to make more.
