It is no longer in business. However, if you are looking to start your own freelance design business go for it. It was the best decision I ever did.

I’m a creative with 10+ years of agency experience, in addition to long-lasting freelance relationships. Walls pinned with sketched ideas excite me, and form following function very often guides my personal creative process. I enjoy challenges, creating, problem-solving with others, working like hell to meet deadlines and dancing when clients are happy.

Make it an on the job first timer experience only position. There is no employee appreciation, no benefits, no insurance, and you're paid less than career standards. Most of the employees are great, management not so much. Great way to be thrown into the designer world, as it is highly stressful and a bit unorganized. Not proper company standards or maybe legal, and don't plan on getting anything for your portfolio.

I lost my job two years ago, I was sad for about a day, I hated that job anyway so I decided to start my own business - Plaid Lizard Design in which I provide Graphic Design services, I am a Graphic Designer. It was going well but not great, I struggled when clients did not pay me on time. So I started looking for full-time employment again. I am 58 so I was concerned with age discrimination but I know I am talented and an excellent dedicated employee. It took me a little over a year but I landed a great job with other talented designers and it feels like a family. I have been there for three weeks now, I miss my naps in the middle of the afternoon! Lol! I continue to work on projects through my business Plaid Lizard Design at night because I don't want to give it up, having my own business is still my ultimate dream job. Going to work both jobs hard for now. I also have so many other side hustles I am starting, sleep is highly over rated! Lol! In your 50's or 60's? It aint over yet! In fact it's time to ramp up! Need some encouragement? - hit me up. I also have a great tool that helps me get clients, land an interview and land a job. But too much awesomeness for one post so I will share that later. Now if I could only find a man!

Hi, I am looking for an entry level Graphic Design job here in the Tri-valley Bay Area. Any advise as to how would I do this? I have 2 years of experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, mainly school projects and some freelance. I have an online portfolio as well. I will be receiving my AA in Graphic Design in Spring 2018. I have an AA in Liberal Arts. Thanks,
