I'm pretty sure you will eventually need Identification that has your social security number on it to obtain employment, and so they can verify citizenship! I've had to replace my SS card before and its a hassle, but it only takes one appointment I think. Good Luck! ๐งก
You many not need SS card as long as you as you know it. I have never been asked to give a copy of SS card. However you will need an ID to complete your hiring paperwork.

So sorry to hear you lost your job. I've had sooo many bad experiences with non-professional, uncaring former co-workers. What really hurt was when I was dismissed because I didn't give in to unreasonable demands; nothing to do with my job, but, petty people instead. Yes, when dealing with people, it never surprises me how they treat other people. Don't let that stop your from pursuing your dream job. Just don't be surprised how people choose to not act professionally.
