
What experience do I need to be hired as a Library Clerk?

A person who can have management skill and also the person should have basic knowledge books. In that case they can be a person who can handle things in a best way. Hence, a person how have management skill can be appointment as libarary clerk.

As someone who spent alot of time in libraries (I have a completed Bachelors Degree and Masters Work) I have always had a desire to work in a library.
While going to college I worked in our school library as a volunteer and later on a work study program.
After I moved out of state I volunteered at our community public library. They were building a new library and hired me to be on staff. I worked about a year and was laid off before being rehired again.
Being able to volunteer acquaints you with the work that is required, roles and regulations with the company and relevant policies. It is a great way to give back to your community. The pay and benefits are usually really good.
There is room for promotion. I was asked to be a Director of Access Services. Thank you !
