i got used to the cliches of kudos from kinder garden thru high school to even college of all my 5 daughters . THE PEOPLE WOULD SAY HOW UNIQUE THIS MAN IS THIS DAD HERE THE ONLY MALE VOLUNTEERING AS A TEACHERS ASSISTANT OR SCHOOL ASSISTANT . A ROOM MOM BUT INSTEAD A ROOM DAD. IN MY HISPANIC HISTORY & CULTURE THAT WASNT HAPPENING DADS IN THE HISPANIC COMMUNITY WERE LIKE MISSING DADS IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY. so i got used to the kudos. BUT THAN AFTER THE 5 DAUGHTERS BECAME ACCOMPLISH IN THIER LIFES . I FADED AND JUST BECAME DAD . IT WAS LIKE BEING TAKEN FOR GRANTED OH THATS JUST DAD. being successful people think thats an excuse to say we are very busy in our lifes. we dont have time to call your dad or make time . and now with text you have an excuse not to call at all. IM NOT BITTER IM NOT RESENTFUL . I TRY TO BE REALISTIC AND DEAL WITH THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM REAL ISSUES. my children are grown successful and 4 are out of state. we all get caught up in life and dont make time for others sometimes our own family . SO ON THIS SPECIAL DAY FOR FATHERS IF YOU HAVE ONE ALIVE STILL . GIVE HIM A HUG AND LET HIM KNOW HE IS NOT JUST DAD: HE IS YOUR DAD AND HE IS LOVED AND HE IS SPECIAL. for those of you that your dad is not alive . LISTEN TO THE SONG BY LUCAS GRAHAM a song he wrote about his fathers death and how people told him over time you will be ok and he states in the song it wasnt like that . he still loves him and misses him YOUR NOT THERE by lucas graham . it will help you remember your DAD IN DEATH AND NEVER TAKEN FOR GRANTED AND NEVER FORGOTTEN EVEN THOUGHT HE IS " NOT THERE"
