Im from carlisle Pa i am disabled at the moment for ptsd but i want to get back to work.
Can anyone give me advice.

Any suggestions?
I'm a 53-year old male no, living in New Jersey. I spent 15 years as a recruiter, my last contract I was making $50 an hour. In 1996 I had a very bad car accident, subsequently have had 22 surgeries. From 2012 to 2015 I also went to prison for some drug offenses. I've been on disability since 2012 -3 years I was away, but since disability is not cutting it oh, I'm back to looking for work. I'm looking for anything out there from Dunkin Donuts on up. My question, issue, problem is that my background seems to be preventing me from getting any kind of work. I can't believe in today's day and age with the job market the way it is that I can't find anything. Any suggestions for people with a background issue and a not quite so bad disability issue. What I mean by that is can't do physical work and walk with a cane but I can do customer service telephone work cashier Etc am I the only one out there right now they can't find work because of a background issue or a slight disability issue? Any suggestions from anybody reading this?

Managing a disability
Does anyone know how to manage things like joint pain and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome/Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder in a physically demanding job?
I pretty much go home in near tears because of how much pain I'm in. I'm afraid that I could be doing damage to my joints.
I don't know if I can get accommodations for this job or if I should just move on, which I wouldn't mind. It just sucks that I like being active but my body can't handle it for long periods of time. I wish I could find a job that I can do and enjoy.

Disabled persons lying
I was working as an independent taxi service, I got a call to pick up a women at an alley behind, I am guessing behind her home, so here's the story. I arrive to see she has a big dog with her, so I assume she is disabled with a service dog, I noticed she had nothing to put under the dog for my car (which is only a year old 2018). I pull up and ask, she avoids the question and proceeds to tell me it is against the law to refuse her the ride. I tell her I will call the office, so she hatefully tells me "well while your on the call me n my dog will be in your back seat, my doors are locked (they stay locked because I usually drive in a dangerous area) and she is pulling on my handle really hard, as I'm telling her no I will call 1st because I don't want the smell and dirt in my car. She then tells me I don't have a choice because she is disabled and the law and my place of work says I have to once I clicked on accept ride, but if I'd known it was this type of ride heaven knows I would never had accepted it. So she says she will get me fired for not driving her and for having another person in my car with me. I just tell her to call if that is what she needs to do I don't care because the dirty dog is not going to get in my car. Well she did as she said. Told them I refused and was hostile with her. I have never gotten hostile with any customer and always had excellent ratings I only refuse rides if its quitting time for me, I work 7 days a week usually and out there 12 hours most days sometimes longer! Why is it ok n legal for a disabled person to say and do whatever they want and get a person fired, and why is the law only on their side when really she was in the wrong by acting a complete fool trying to get her way only because she is disable? Where is the rights for a driver and their personal property? The company says we have nothing and they will pay half cleaning bill for the vehicle, when a good detail will run the owner about $200? So now what???

Job searching is my job
For the first time in my life I am experiencing delayed response from employers. Being on disability is something I hope to phase out of soon and finding work within my immediate area seems harder than usual. I'm in a pretty active area and spend each day applying for jobs on various sites. I have been on 2 awesome interviews but now I can't help but wonder why I haven't received "the call". Back in the day, someone who is responsible, loyal, punctual, respectful and socially positive would all be a plus for a company. Not sure what they are looking for these days apparently. Any pointers would be great!
