Graphic Designer and Illustrator for 8 years in one company, 2 years in a previous one and currently freelancing. However, it's not enough money to live by so I tried applying for full-time jobs. I had several interviews, everything seemed to have gone well, employers would be impressed with my experience and expertize but then I end up getting a rejection notice 2 hours later....

I feel like giving up...no one seems to want me..

I recently got fired from my job after 8 years with nothing but great reviews. This was about a month after taking pto fmla for our new baby girl. Got put in front of hr because I moved a parking cone so I could park there ( the cone was floating around the parking lot all month.) I put the cone in an owners “spot “ a few times (even though we don’t have assigned parking). They said that I was getting suspended for harassment. (Is moving a cone harassment?) the next day they said I was fired and couldn’t go on the premises. They wouldn’t let me pick up my personal belongings and said they would mail it to me with my last paycheck. Feeling frustrated, as it seems like they were looking for a reason to get rid of me. There was no warning and they didn’t follow any put in place protocols. Looking for a new job in graphic design and photography if you know of anyone who could help. My name is Rachelle im 26 years old and im am a college graduate and my major was graphic design.Im unempolyed for a year and its very depressing.One I got a call for an interview during the interview the said I got the job and I was so excited.My first day I was just observing then next day it was a test run .My nerves got the best of me and i didnt do my best.The next day I told my self that I wil work harder next time.They told me to stay home because they were testing other people .I DIDNT KNOW THAT.It got me depressesd even more.I felt like a loser not having a job on my feild and being in my mid 20.But I cant just give up.

Two weeks ago I had a job interview for Graphic Design and before we get started I told him I’m hearing Impaired and need to speak louder so I can able to hear him talking. He understands but he keep asking about my disability entire time in the interview. I show my design portfolio and he like it. He said he will send me the email to me to see if I get the job but I haven’t got any from him. It make me feels like he doesn’t want me because of my disability.

What I loved about my last job was my involvement with the mission of the organization. I have been involved with international development and global health for over 18 years, and find it extremely fulfilling.
