What I loved working at #HansonDirectoryService

I loved everything. Great work environment & fun atmosphere. Flex hours. I worked 4 10 hr days & had Fridays off. Good wages. I started at $14.00 11 yrs ago & had raises every year & worked my way up to $19.50. 4 weeks of vacation & paid holidays. Supportive, helpful & caring management. Fun loving co-workers who worked hard & had excellent work ethic. Design work. I was able to use my creativity & my design skills every day. I loved working on a Mac & using Quark, Illustrator & Photoshop. We also had terrific camaraderie with lots of special events, potlucks, parties, health events, & holiday fun. I would go back in a minute if the previous management was still there.

It's a hard time right now

Stuck between being a burden on my parent's wallets and have moved from my home 1500 miles away. I have realized that I seriously need to get a job doing what I've trained to do all of my high school career and my own time by myself. I'm going to show my new employer that I am not only a hard worker when it comes to something I love like 3D modeling and drafting. But I will excel with whoever gives me the chance.

UX Designer Career Interest

I'm currently a student studying web design and am looking to get into the field as a UX/UI designer. I'm aware that a strong portfolio could get you far. But how do you get over the fact that you don't have any relevant work experience?

Feeling Defeated

So I've been actively applying for jobs for the past 5 months as a UX/UI and Graphic Designer and while I've managed to get eight interviews I have yet to land any offers. I just had a second interview with a place I really, really want to work at but left feeling very unsure. I felt like I really connected with two of the interviewers but the third was really hard to read and was the project lead. The other manager and associate I felt like I had a good standing with and in the first interview I felt like I hit it off with the office manager.

At the end of the second interview the lead said they were still interviewing candidates and that I would hear back in two weeks. Everything I've read online makes me feel like I have no chance now...
