For someone working in this field you first have to have patience and a constant positive attitude along with problem solving skills! there has to be a understanding that all customers are not the same and not all customers will be pleasant! Your job is to make sure they leave feeling better than the way that they came in and if you don't succeed you know that you did the best that you could and these are the kinds of traits that employers look for! A good customer service representative knows how to create a personal experience for the customer letting them know that we are completely there for them Having a complete understanding and knowledge of your field and how to operate any computer system allocated to your job unables you to provide precise, immediate, & accurate information when required.


Never try to convince a prospect that they NEED to buy your product. Nobody does what they need to do, unless that need was determined on what they WANT to accomplish. Learn the desires, then determine how you can help them accomplish that.

I enjoy helping people

My favorite part of being a customer service rep was, getting to interact with customers and having a one on one relationship with them over time.

The interaction with all my customers. I loved helping them the blind and disabled. Helping parents with their children. I loved the little ones always happy to see them with their growth and achievements. I worked at the store 15 years.

After a full year and four specific meetings with the bride about all of the details of her wedding day, she ordered beautiful white fabric chairs that the rental agency did not in Mellon park.
When the couple did not accept my explanation of the policy, I immediately called the rental agency to contact the client directly to explain their policy about fabric chairs in the park.
Thereafter, the client ordered white wooden garden chairs for their ceremony in the park, and kept the beautiful white fabric chairs for dining on the patio @ their reception. They departed from the Center thru an archway of sparklers and well-wishers to their waiting limousine. An amicable disposition of the issue, with the client, and peace is always the goal.
