My advice to people interested in working at #CumminsbrotherspaintingandWaterproofing as a #Owner/Operator ...

I would tell them that Cummins brothers painting and waterproofing are great people to work for. Honest and hard work will be rewarded with steady hours and advancement.

The biggest mistake I made as a #Owner/Operator at #CumminsbrotherspaintingandWaterproofing ...

I'm going to say that I could have delegated more of the duties to other people and I became over worked and stressed out.

When we first started out with the business we would bid low in order to get enough work to keep the workers busy and I remember working on the job myself and for very little money if any money at all. That was a little bit stressful

One of the guys didn't take the correct measures to cover up cars before spraying paint and the clients car was sprayed with paint so it cost me the price of a paint job. The client was upset at first but happy with the outcome.

I'm good with people. I think that my employees enjoyed working with me and I believe that I get more out of my guys than others might with my friendly manner. I let them know what I expect from them and I'll work side by side with them so they know that I am not asking them to do anything that I wouldn't do myself.
