Helping others

I've come to understand that Trucking driving is more then just a job because the world depends on us as drivers not only to deliver there product but to do it in a safe and timely manner. It's gives me the satisfaction of helping others and that in itself brings me great joy. That's why I love my job.

Time to reinvent yourself people.

Currently in the transportation industry there are 40,000 vacancies and growing. In our Trade industry (construction, plumbing and electricians) the average age is 56 years old. Many are retiring at an alarming rate. The salaries range from $50,000 and up with benefits to match. The training is far reasonable than the current graduate from a college or university. The average student leaves college with a ton of debt and a changing workforce. That degree is only as good as the job you are able to land. Good luck in your job hunting.

Good chance i might quite.

After working at my present job for over 10 years. It is a small company. I am thinking about quitting. I have been looking for a nother job for a short time now. Some of the reasons. Two pay raises in 10 years, the CEO/PRES. Has a snitch, he is also what we call a mico CEO/PRES. I can go on and on. But i think as you read this. Enough is said. I saw a job listed on a job web site. I do met the qualifications they are seeking. When i do apply for the job and i here from them and go in for a interview and if it is offered to me. What do you readers. Think i should tell them in my job interview. Why i want to leave for. Also and what should i tell my work place why i want to leave for. Thanks for your input.

What I loved working at #Aceofheartsmedical.com

Working with ACE exposed me to an aspect of Nursing that i had not experienced. Though i have nursed the elderlies but its as a team but in this case , i was a personal caregiver for 10 months. The client had Alzheimer and was antagonistic to all. Being scared by her nagging and agitation, the family arranged with ACE to get somebody around to help keep her Company and do some errands as well as prevent falls because she had fell severally broken the femur and hip . So, that 10 months made me understand the route some of us must go before death. My patience was built and compassion too. So, i learnt to be more kind to people now so that at old age, they will not abandon me but stand by me.

Did I make the right decision? Is the money worth it?

I started security in November. I am posted at two different client sites to make my position full-time. One is a retirement home, the other is a factory. The employees at the factory have been nothing but respectful and professional. However, at the retirement home, the employees in the office make it a point to make me feel less than. I started to realize that they try to get me in trouble on purpose. For example, they have a "Flu Policy" where no children under the age of 18 are to enter the building. When I told a woman that her grandson could not come in, her grandson threw a huge fit and ran down the hall toward the office. The office ladies started saying hi to them in a very welcoming manner is if it were okay that they were inside. This is just one example out of many.

They have talked to me rudely and accusingly many times. I have even gotten complaints from visitors who come to the retirement home regarding the office staff. They have honestly made me dread going to work and it makes me not want to give them my full 100%. I decided against complaining to the office staff's boss as the office staff are very close with their boss. They have all worked there a very long time and are all older. I am 19 years old and am new to the retirement home. I felt this wouldn't do me any good and I didn't want to be "that guy".

Well, after a lot of thought, I woke up this morning and decided today was the day I was going to talk to my company about leaving the retirement home and talk about, eventually, being posted elsewhere as well as at the factory. I feel very happy about my decision, however, I will definitely not be making the money that I had been making before. I know some people would tell me I should've just sucked it up regardless of being unhappy. What do you think?

Down right upset.

I have applied for several jobs and I have also landed the jobs. I am a very detail organized person. I believe in doing my very best. I don't believe what I have seen on these jobs I have had. These managers just throw you to the wolves. There is not enough training that they give you while you are onboard. I was sent home after one week of training. I was told on one of my jobs that I wasn't catching on fast enough but during the whole time of training I was told that I was doing great. I felt so confident in myself that I was doing a good job. I did'nt miss one single call coming into this call center. I don't know what happen. This is very disappointing to me. I'm so frustrate with these jobs especially when you give them 100% of dedication and all your time.

What I loved working at #F5NetworksInc

F5 was one of the best companies I've ever worked for in my career! It was an exciting place to work, where I learned the latest and greatest technologies, including state of the art hardware and FPGA technologies, Linux, BIG-IP OS, and a superior Python based test automation framework. F5 had a great corporate culture, great benefits, and really took care of their employees.

What I loved working at #RGIS

Our of all the jobs I have ever worked, this job was my number one favorite and a job I took very seriously and loved. It allowed me to travel all over the state and many other states and traveling is something I enjoy. I loved that I worked a different store each day and worked with many new people through out. Have a goal to reach at the end I the store also have me a push. The better you did the better money you made. Excelling on this company is a big possibility, all depends on your performance. Definitely a job to turn into a career.
