Working with ACE exposed me to an aspect of Nursing that i had not experienced. Though i have nursed the elderlies but its as a team but in this case , i was a personal caregiver for 10 months. The client had Alzheimer and was antagonistic to all. Being scared by her nagging and agitation, the family arranged with ACE to get somebody around to help keep her Company and do some errands as well as prevent falls because she had fell severally broken the femur and hip . So, that 10 months made me understand the route some of us must go before death. My patience was built and compassion too. So, i learnt to be more kind to people now so that at old age, they will not abandon me but stand by me.
