Make the best of it cause this job is worth waking up to and coming every day on time
Everyday is different but you got to love it
If member or employed got angry with me or about about something that was wrong I would just try my best to get them what they need as fast as possible. Apologize for the inconvenience
What I liked about working at Costco was interacting with a bunch of people. I also love the difference when the store close and it was quiet and just getting busy and working as hard as I can.
Be prepared (especially if you work on front end,merch,lot crew,photo,front door,membership,tire shop,and even maintenance departments ect..) to be called upon to help get the lines down on the cash register area. Kind of a bummer if there are call ins on front end- other departments will be called upon to stop what they are going to help get the lines down (or rush) to a minimum.
Honestly the worst day is usually a day where someone Called in or a day when the store is just packed, like before christmas or holidays. Like anywhere, if you are willing to see it thru until the end of your work day you will do ok.
Benefits are the best ALL around! 401k is there ,as well as regular pay raises. Breaks every 2 hours and lunches. Paid vacations, paid holiday pay ( no costco worker works on major holidays) ,and free executive membership cards with can be given to each employees spouse ,and family members.
I tell them how wonderful it is to work for this corporation. It's a great company.
