I retired 30 years of service.doing street repairs from curb and gutter to sidewalks and maintenance picking rubbish and my last 12 years I became a heavy equipment operator

You firstly must have empathy for the victims and witnesses, and want to serve you fellow man, community, and 4.3 million people in the City of L.A.. Next you MUST have strength and courage to be awoken in the middle of the night and deployed to a tragic scene. Then you must be able to be somewhat neutral yet comforting at the same time, follow policy and provide information. Obey the sacred silence rule of thumb. Last, protect yourself by constantly reviewing and analyzing our own stress levels and health, and take affirmative steps to keep yourself healthy and sound...
