Caused several capable employees to leave. Constant turnover is unhealthy for any organization. Institutional knowledge that is lost because of turnover causes a stagnant progression of consistency and quality.

It was a much needed change in my life since I had just gotten a divorce less than a year before starting work there. I had applied when I was more or less on vacation there. After many years of working in my chosen field I was a bit surprised by their response to my application. I had applied for two different positions and both offered me a job, however I took the one that was offered me in the engineering department. I worked with some of the best people while there.

Still employed there, I had knee surgery and I may not be able to do tree work anymore, so I have been looking for othier avenues just in case, I need to retire from the city

I wasn't happy working for City of Rochester School Department. The school department acted in a very prejudicial way. People who deserved teaching positions, very capable and top notch teachers were refused jobs in lieu of candidates who "knew someone" although they were less qualified. Also, because of the politics of the School Department, many qualified teachers left for more professional situations. The reason I loved Substitute Teaching was because I am a capable tutor in many students, ergo, I did it to improve the education of the students.
