I liked the job, the pay

The chance to meet so many different people.

Not sure how to answer that. Everytime I thought thing's were going good, thoughts of us working. We're told to stop.

It was great to work for them all the time. I appreciate the opportunity and experience.

It was a great gig! I got to know the county I live in.

Has anyone applied for and gotten a job to be a census taker or a position related to the census? I have applied on several different job sites and even applied directly to the US census site. I have not gotten a single response from any of them. I keep seeing the jobs posted on websites, I keep seeing it when you apply for other jobs. I have seen advertising for these positions since late 2019. I mean the first quarter of the year is almost over. Isn’t the census supposed to be completed before 2020 is over?

Great news! US Census jobs are still available across the country. If you love talking to people and need a temporary job to get you through the next few months or to build up your work experience, consider applying to work for US census. Every ten years, the government hires thousands of workers to conduct a survey of the US population. While these jobs only last a few months, they do offer attractive pay ranging from $14-$30 per hour depending on your role, city, and state.

As a census taker or enumerator, you will be spending most of your time going door to door verifying addresses, collecting data, and delivering census materials. If knocking on doors doesn't suit you, the following census roles are also available: Census Field Supervisor, Recruiting Assistant, Clerk, Office Operations Supervisor

Who is qualified? English speaking, US citizens who are least 18 years old, registered for military Selective Service, and have a valid Social Security number. Applicants should also have a valid email address and be able to pass an extensive criminal background check. This means college students, retirees, part-time workers, and anyone who is unemployed or underemployed are all encouraged to apply.

Application Process: The application process will take around 30 minutes. In addition to a form to fill out, you will also need to answer a few assessment questions. You may also be asked to take an English proficiency test. The Census Bureau will eventually follow up with you and either request more information or schedule a phone interview. If you are successful, you will receive a verbal offer and a formal offer letter by mail.

Other Requirements: Applicants must commit to completing training and be available to work flexible hours, which can include days, evenings, and weekends. Census takers should also have reliable transportation and access to a computer with internet.

I have a long history of work related experiences - pride myself on my amazing abilities to fit in ,work hard ,learn new duties and instructions easy ,I am a person with many know how skills , schooling and on the job training , also created various opportunities for others as well as myself--- I am trying to find a part-time or temp job with the ''US Census .gov'' . I worked the program in 2000 and loved doing it . If ''Jobcase ''can direct me to the correct site or have something special or short term it would be very helpful at this time --I am almost 70 years of age and retired but like to devote my time too special projects and services in the Community \Country ,plus extra monies are always needed even at my age --Thank you .
