My post is about success story

When I was working in Istishari Hospital I was assign to establish a project for Dietary and Nutrition services for the hospital. I corrected the Location Plan for the kitchen set-up prepared by the Civil engineer. I found out two things to be corrected, the first one the location of some areas were not properly located like the dishwashing area for cooking utensils and table setting items like plates, glasses, cups, spoons, forks, and knives. Another area to be corrected is the location of the delivery room for incoming food commodities, materials, and groceries item. I recommended also to added some areas not included in the location plan like the washing area for food trollies and baskets, fruit preparation area, and two cabinets for dressing rooms for men and ladies kitchen workers. I had explained the reasons for these two recommendations to the Hospital Director and civil Engineer and both agreed to be added in the Location Plan. I was employed in the hospital as Consultant Dietitian and that time the hospital was still under construction. I prepared the organizational structured of the employees for dietary and nutrition services including the job descriptions. I listed down all the kitchen utensils for bidding and for buying. I took in-charged for the checking and approval of the purchased equipment and utensils. I planned monthly menus for the patients both for normal and therapeutic diets. I supervised and approved also the installation and operation of all the kitchen equipment had been installed by the technician of the kitchen supplier. Before the opening of the hospital I conducted the recruitment and interview of the applicants for dietary and nutrition services like dietitians, food service workers, food supervisors, nutrition aides, and cleaners. During the opening of the hospitals everyone who visited the kitchen appreciated the set-up and layout of the dietary department. All the equipment were in proper location and working efficient and accurate. The Hospital Director appreciated and thanking me for all I had done in the two departments dietary and nutrition because were included from one of the best sections. I am thanking God for helping me to finish everything before the target date and achieved successfully the planning and implementing the whole projects I programmed and established. I will consider this is a big and great achievement have accomplished in my life.

Becoming proficient

I took an electronic technician job back in 1989, working with Automated Test Equipment developed by Honeywell. The training course was 8 weeks and it was not easy. For the next 14 years, I plodded along, learning and doing some instruction. But to be honest I didn't really know the equipment, just enough to get by. I retired and then cam back as a contractor in 2004. I really started to hit the books and they schematics and spent long hours trying to learn exactly how it worked. It paid off big time. By 2008 I had become comfortable so that I could do Customer support over the phone and make technical visits. I only wish I had started sooner.
