My opinion, I would advise you to have great communication skills and stay busy at all times .

Over 50, Game Over?
Over 50, and job hunting? Join the club. What do you do? I have a degree in mathematics and electrical engineering yet finding a job is elusive. Sitting across a table with children in a job interview as they ask “...where do you see yourself in 15yrs...” seems comical. My older brother with the same education, use to design guideded missiles, gave up looking and now works at Burger King but he seems happy. He lives a simple life.
Like you, I’m still looking. Like my brother, I’m working at Burger King to keep some money coming in. I’ll land a temp job, make a few house payments, get laid off, then get another job at Burger King, or Panda Express, Pei Wei, IHOP, Luby’s, and other places. I drive old vehicles that are paid off, no cable TV (I watch local channels via a rabbit ear antenna) no credit cards because the bank canceled them, and when I have a spare dollar....hello Red Box.
All I can say is, you’re not alone. It’s ok to live a simple life until you catch a break.

Whar is the best part about working at #BurgerKing was
Working with the public

My advice to people interested in working at #BurgerKing as a #Janitor ...
Depending on the Burger King; you may meet some super cool people..... But then again you may meet some douche bags

Why... what am I doing wrong?
Hello, Amanda, 21. Nice to meet you. I have a question for everyone and I just want to know where I went wrong (besides what I did that I will tell you later. I know it was wrong but I want to know if I’m doing something wrong BESIDES that).
So I had worked at a Burger King for 2 years and a few months as my first job. I applied there a year after I graduated high school and it’s my first job. I never had a job during school because I wanted to be focused on school work and school was stress enough. After graduation, I wanted a year off and time to myself before I went out looking for jobs. So upon the last few months I had there, I had a point where I was scheduled a month and a half with no days off and most of those days were 11-8 shifts. For fast food and to be on every single day, most of the 11-8 shifts, and with it being a month and a half straight, my stress level was climbing at an alarming rate. I eventually received a few days off in a row to breathe after I mentioned it multiple times of working that month and half straight. Skip ahead to my last couple days, I’m going back and forth between closing shift and morning shift (weekdays close at 11 pm however closing itself we usually didn’t get out until midnight or closer to 1 am sometimes 2 am depending on how closing went and how much stuff needed to be done). So then morning shifts I’m usually scheduled at 7 AM, so to have a 7 Am morning shift after coming home from a close (around 1 AM and don’t pass out til like 2 because it takes like an hour for me to pass out) I’m tired. My last day of actually working (June) I had a closing shift the night before and was scheduled a day shift (the day I technically quit) I had overslept. I woke up right at the time I was supposed to be clocked in and up front. Well when I woke up and realized what time it was I was running in my apartment grabbing my clothes, headed to bathroom, brushing teeth as fast as possible, and as soon as I get ready to head out the door, the manager calls and leaves a voicemail that should never be left or said. At all. I stopped myself and didn’t show up. Two days later I turned in my uniform (when our checks came in). This was the reason I mentioned above asking besides this wrong. I know this was wrong. Skip ahead two months, I’m now working at a Captain D’s that just opened up (August) And in the month of October, everyone’s hours have been cut due to labor and sales. And then those hours got cut more due to same reason plus they said everyone gets a raise because they’ll be working harder because it’s just one person per station. Now I’m looking for other jobs, I want OUT of food. But everywhere I apply I don’t seem to get a response back. Maybe I don’t have the experience they’re looking for? Is it because I didn’t go to college and don’t plan on going to college? Only people who reach out to me when I don’t reach out to them is food places, go figure. But I want out of food. And I’m not having any luck finding places that will hire a 21, almost 22 year old who has only been at two fast food jobs, and no college.

A #stressful #Burgerking day
The stressful day I ever had was when I was sick and I didn't go at work for 3days when I bring a Doctor's note they shouted me that is not a procedure what I did I suppose to call and tell them that I was sick of which the time I started being sick they told me to go home
