The biggest mistake I made as a #GeneralManager at #Bojangles'FamousChicken'nBiscuits ...

The biggest mistake I made was putting my heart into the job, trusting my District Manager not knowing he would be so cruel. He was bullying me a lot, tried to say I was stealing company time, when I was working 80- 90 hours a week, which he never paid me for. He would tell me I could run the store however I saw fit, however that was never true, because he would always tell me who he wanted me to fire for no reason at all. I got terminated because we failed inspection, however when another store failed inspection, the General Manager still has her job, there's another Manager whom worked at all three stores with customers and employees complaints and she still has her job. He lied so I couldn't get unemployment, he would call other stores asking when was the last time they've spoken with me. I've tried to reach the Manager of Operations, left him messages, which he never returned, he promised me I would get benefits right away because I'm diabetic and have high blood pressure , which never happened, so I had to keep candy in the office for when my blood sugar would drop, because I didn't have any medication. The District Manager would talk to me as if I was nobody, he was trying to write me up for something my shift leader did, which I refused to sign,so he stated" Sign the damn paper Priscilla or get out ," so I wrote on the write up he forced me to sign the paper by bullying me. I asked my District Manager for help because it was just myself and a shift leader, which I couldn't schedule her no more than 45 hours per week, and I was doing 80- 90 so I needed some help, which he told me he didn't have anyone, but the day he terminated me he sent two people from another store. I feel we wouldn't have failed inspection if I would had some help, and having two new hire, and being short handed the day of the inspection, which caused us to fail.Although we could have passed inspection if I had help, he would only allow 92- 96 hours per day., Also where does it state in the hand book if you fail inspection you are terminated? I loved my job, even though I took a lot of crap, and only getting 3.46 hours of sleep per night with no days off.I I was treated very unfairly, getting paid less than minimum wage if you do the math.

And if you report the manager nothing is going to happen to them if you report them to the owners the district manager or general manager nothing is going to happen please believe!!!!!!!!!!

The most stressful day was while working in drive through. It was later in the evening and most cars were ordering an 8 piece box (chicken and 4 biscuits) or 20 piece. We didn't have enough chicken because it was car after car ordering big meals. Chicken cooks for 13 mins, so you can see the dilemma. It was a rough night but thankfully we survived and most customers were understanding.
