
Temporary agencies staffing
I got fired again at a temporary agencies staffing last month. The temp agencies place me at a job, I try to do the training class didn't pass the second test. The trainer went too fast. So they let me go. The temporary agencies staffing job if you not fast catch on the job. You're fired. Now I back out there again looking for work again. Damn!

Another road block.
These job assessment test are really not working out for me..I taken about five an I dont get the job..Totally do understand how these test can access my work ethic..

dissapointment with a recruitering company
I started applying here and there and now's the job market is always full in capacity I have to be vigilant of new positions coming in. I applied for a technical position level 2, note- I'm still working on a great company but there is no growth available anytime soon and all the level 2 team is outsourced which of course no one wants to spend their live doing simple stuff when the know and are meant for much more. I got a call for a great opportunity, spend a good time over the phone talking with the recruiter, she sent me to take a technical test to see my level of expertise, I passed it with 80% and they are looking for minimum 70% to take into consideration. right after that, she mentioned that it was time for the face to face interview and that I was going to be meeting with her manager, I thought perfect ! I get to the interview, I hand over my resume as a courtesy in hard paper. I start interviewing he asks technical question which of course are not easy specially answering by memory. anyone that is on a technical field knows that u need to be Infront of a computer in order to fix and/or find the solution. Once the interview was over, he tells me I'm light for the position they were offering. Of course, I was so disappointed since where I am, I feel that I'm stuck on my professional development and my growth has halted, and seems to find the next level in a Technical field is going to be challenge. of course, at the end, when they ask if I had questions and I felt unfit for that position, I asked him what could I fix on my resume to make it stand out more, he spent about 45 more minutes correcting it. then we part ways. I just hope I get more attention with his feedback. And I had to get that interview out of my chest - rant over

FIGHTING UNEMPLOYMENT
Well folks I lost again, my old mean boss won over me in the unemployment issue for the 3rd time by lieing under oath. So I am done trying to fight him. i just cant believe how my life has turned into such a disaster and I cant even get work. I applied online last night at t few places and one place gave me an assessment test to take and it consisted of something that should of only taken me 25min but I did not even know what I was doing. there was no instructions I finally figured out a few of the answers. I dont get it now you have to pass these tests even before you get an interview. that is not going to happen with me I was in school over 35 years ago I dont remember anything like these tests.
I might go back to housecleaning cause honestly these assessments are hard.
Thank you for letting me vent. anybody who can offer me some suggestions I am all ears please.

#Hint - I did not get that job.
#Confession: I never was good with all these #puzzles, #brainteasers and #crosswords. Ditto about #Chess. But somehow, between 1972 and 2016, I graduated University with Major Applied Math and now continue working as a Software Developer and Data Analyst.

Those Frustrating Assesments
Just a quick truth about assessments for those not aware and should really know:
If you don't match certain key parts that their filter is looking for, or respond in certain ways, your application is filtered out and not even looked at by hr.
A lot of companies who have you apply online have those assesments as a way for them to try and filter out applications they don't want to deal with.
For example: I worked as a temp for Sprint. I ran their kiosk on my own for a couple months but with my temp contract running out I had applied to work permanently with Sprint. I didn't pass their assessment and according to the ditrict manager I talked to, no one had been passong their online assessment for months...which explains why in my state none of the kiosks have full time Sprint employees and only third party temps because the assessment is so strict in their filtering no one is passing.
Other companies don't have filters as strict as Sprint's thankfully, and there are still some out there that don't have assessments. Sadly though, it's becoming more and more common for an online assesment.
Be careful with those assesments. And think about your answer the questions. How you answer determines whether HR gets to actually LOOK at your application. Some places that has these online assessments also has a way for you to see the status of your app. So make sure to keep an eye on that.
These assements are there to see aspects of your personality and how it may fit the view of the company, so that filter looks for what the company wants.
Sad sucky truth. So just do what you can with those and do your best not to get frustrated. The long time in getting a response thst I mentioned in a previous post also factors into that.

I passed my exam!
Hi my fellow Job seekers! I posted a few,days ago about the PTCB exam that I was so nervous about, I took it today and PASSED! Hopefully will have a Pharmacy Tech job soon. Kero the faith everyone. Bless you all.
