The biggest mistake I made as a #Owner/MasterColorist/Educator at #Ahair-E-Addition ...

Provided a service to a regular customer who had left their money at home and had promised they'd be back to pay me. Never happened. Twice this happened in a 30 plus career. Not bad. After that experience i asked for something of value until their return with funds. It works.

Drama at #Ahair-E-Addition

This person came in with very thin thin hair. Her desire was for me to sew in 1/4 lb tracks on her head. 6 tracks equivalent to 1 1/2 lb of hair. She said she has it done in Los Angeles all the time. Was looking for someone closer to Bullhead City Arizona. I had to refuse as a 1/4 lb track is much to heavy to see in with my small fingers, the weight was much to heavy for the very thin hair that I suspected was caused by this type of servicr, and I refused yo turn my digits (fingers) into hamburger. I told her yhat she needed to continue going to L.A. as I take my profession seriously and the end result mattered. She got up, cussed me out, all the while letting Mr know ehat a b.... I was. Oh well.

The best reason to work at #Ahair-E-Addition is

Was self employed. Created my own environment and work force. Trained students just graduating from cosmetology school with a backup plan, signed contract to a commitment of training, or forfeited by paying for their classes/ or training. Selected clientele who appreciated the finer detail of a professional Master Colorist and was willing to pay fair prices for services rendered. Hours were determined by scheduled appts for color, refresh of color, hair extensions, maintenance of extensions. Other services were offered however; my assistants helped with other areas of salon services, and trainers helped assistants / and or myself. I loved the excitement of creativity. The exchange of positive healing energy, especi ally during the transition of appearance. The trust and love garnered from these experiences. Unfortunately the climate changed in Las Vegas concerning businesses and many salons closed because the downside of the economy. Mine was affected also. However, great memories and lots of laughs, very little shedding of tears. Did volunteer work with Cystic Fibrosis, Positively Kids, AFAN....Aides For Aides of Nevada, and the American Cancer Society, also promoted a lot of these same charities by putting together cutathons, fashion and unique hair style balls, uniting minamum 8 salons, providers for these events, etc. Loved it. Was available for anything that enhanced the Healing Art of Beauty and Change. Including post chemotherapy, lupus, alopecia, and male pattern baldness on women. Created wigs and hairpieces that were undetectable to the naked eye or unprofessional, which Inturn restored the self esteem of the individual service was provided too. Loved this area also.
