My boss is terrible at explaining things - how can I learn?!?

Hi everyone. I just started an apprenticeship program and I am so grateful. I love everything about it except for one thing. My boss is AWFUL at explaining things. I need some advice!

When I ask questions he seems annoyed and doesn't explain it in a different way, just repeats what he said originally.

This apprenticeship is supposed to prepare me for a successful career as an electrician but I'm not learning anything.

Thoughts on how to handle this? I don't wanna waste this opportunity!!

Facing new employee burnout already.... help?

I'm a new nurse and I feel like I need to say "yes" everything that is sent my way (shift changes, additional duties, extra hours, etc) I want to look good for my new supervisors and I want my coworkers to like me.

How can I say no? Should I say no??

I always work really hard at everything I do. But it's only been 4 months and I am TIRED from all the extra things i've been doing for my coworkers and other hospital staff.

Better job offer, more money.... Or stay where i am?

I recently started a new job in my field which is cooking. Well a few week's ago a friend asked if I'd come in and help her out on my day's off because they needed another cook. I worked 1 day and management approaches me & offers me $4.00 more an hour to quit my job. I though about it & had decided that I was going to take it,I mean who could pass up an extra 4.00 an hour? So I gave my notice and explained why I was leaving hoping that they'd offer me more money. Well they didn't,so I gave my 2 week's notice. Now with 3 days left of my 2 week's my boss approached me and offered me $3.00 more an hour. So I've decided that I'm going to stay with them,I really like it where I am even though the new place was more money and 5 minutes from my home. Do you think I made the right choice & how do I tell the other place that I now can't take their offer?!? #adviceplease #foodservice #cook/eggflipper
