Interviwe
I am so excited I have interview tomorrow I really need this job I need your advice pls ?

ready to start over
I have been in the field of medical billing for seventeen years. I have been a hospital biller for 10 years, five years as a patient account rep. For the last five years, I've worked in the Cancer Center obtaining authorizations for radiologic and diagnostic testing. I lived in Queens, NY and commute to NYC to work. MY commute is 1 hr and 45 minutes, I drive to the train. I have had it!!! I am preparing to move to Atlanta, GA at the end of the year. How is the job market in the medical field in Ga. How should I go about seeking employment? I also want to purchase a condo/townhome. I am a first time home buyer. Any thoughts???

What should I tell employers about being laid off
Hi, I was laid off last month under questionable circumstances (the typical rampant nepotism and favoritism) at least in my mind that is the reason. However, that is a topic for another discussion. I have applied for at least a hundred positions and have been fortunate to have interviews coming in, however somehow nothing is sticking, I have even gone as far as a third interview with no job closure. I have re worked my resume, practiced my interview styles and, even do graduate school level research on the companies i'm interviewing with. Everyone is impressed with my resume, yet I cannot land anything. I am wondering, if it has anything to do with the fact that I was laid off. Almost every interviewer asks me why I am leaving my current role and I tell them the truth, which is, I was laid off? Should I withhold that information, because it may give the impression that I wasn't a valuable enough worker for them to keep on? At the same time, I don't want to lie and then they find out and it affects any offers I may receive. Can someone advise me please, I am beyond stressed.
Thanks! CAF

Need all your advice on a career transition to healthcare field
hi to everyone, It is for a while that I am looking, applying and waiting on applications that I have sent for a career in a non-clinical healthcare field. I am getting so disappointed and frustrated. I have a Bachelor and a master degree in MIS and MBA as well as several years of business development experience. I am not getting interviews or/and job offers.
While speaking to a few healthcare recruiters here in Long Island, they said that they prefer to have a high school diploma or a recent college graduate. It feels like experience and academic knowledge is going against my will and become a disadvantage rather than advantage.
Please advise on any and all that you have done or think, it would work.
thanks in advance

How to deal with death
I've been working at a nursing home for about a year and a half and I still can't help but to get attached to a lot of the residents, so when it comes to their passing i can't seem to shake the pain that comes along with it, it's like a family member passing, any good tips to deal with death in a work setting?

This is probably the second time I've posted here but I've tried just about everything I can think of. I've applied to fast food industries, ice cream shops, dish washing positions, putting myself online for babysitting, and even room attendants for hotels and still no one has made a effort to contact me, email or anything. I recently turned 17 and have been filling out applications since the beginning of May, it is now July and school is next month. I'm starting to think if it is even worth the time to keep applying since school is going to start back up and no one wants to have to deal with a young workers school schedule. By the time I realized I should be calling to check in on the status of my application it had already been a whole month afterward and I figured they had already given the position to someone else. Are there any suggestions now that I'm at my wits end?

Language
I've received calls from a couple different recruiters. I'm not sure of their dialect. I get so frustrated that I can't understand her. From what I can understand, both sounded like opportunities. I ended up dismissing them. I know she's trying to make a living, so I hate to be rude. Any feedback on how to handle this situation???

Job Hiring
I went on a job interview, and I waited for them to call, they finally call me but my phone was off( I didn't pay the bill right away)when finally paid the bill, they left a voicemail, but they call on the 7 the but I didn't. Get the message until the 13th do you think the position is still open ?

Job interview
Hi recently applied for a job and got a call back. They interview is not for 10 days they said it was a group interview with a group exercise afterwards. They said it would last about 2 hours. I am older and never heard of anything like this, what should I expect? Thanks!

Short term jobs
I recently submitted a resume/application for a role that I knew that I was more than qualified for only to receive an email stating that they were moving forward with other candidates. I looked the person whom sent the email on LInkedIn and asked if I could get some feedback from her as to why they were passing on someone that has had over 22 years of experience in the field. What experience were they looking for that they didn't see. The recruiter did answer me and she stated that the reason they had passed was that the resume and the application didn't match, meaning there were experience on the resume that wasn't on the application, I then pointed out that this probably occurred because I had previously applied with the company and that for whatever reason the system wasn't updating itself. She went on to say that the resume had different fonts on it and was messy looking, I'm not sure why that is, and I did apologize and offered to send her another resume, she refused. She then went on to say that they were passing on me because of all the short term positions that I've had, which has been a result employers hiring me in only to be subjected to a "workforce reduction", it's not my fault just terrible luck. She was not sympathetic. She stated that the company was looking for a person with some longevity in their prior positions and ended the phone call. I told her the truth, I was laid off from these positions, why is this being counted against me? How can I fix this? Help!
