The biggest mistake I made as a #Safetysupervisor at #Abengoa ...

My biggest mistake was doing my job to the best of my ability as a health and safety supervisor I job was to make sure everyone went home the same way they came in this is a very difficult task when they try and cover things up or take the person to a 24-hour Medical Center and just pay cash for the injuries or repair so that it's not reported on their OSHA 300

My advice to people interested in working at #Abengoa as a #Safetysupervisor ...

If you work there stick to yourself stay out of all the BS and the group's just do your job ignore everybody else and you should be fine if you see something wrong don't say anything or report it you will be asked to do things that are illegal or dangerous on a daily basis if you say no they will find a way to terminate you

Most stressful day I was a health and safety supervisor and I was overseeing all operations as far as outage work lifts heavy lift critical lift with crane anytime I would shut down a job or stop the job to reevaluate prevent injury which is the company policy they would get irate because it was costing them money. I haven't go as a great company just a management at the site that I was at is not very experienced or good in personnel management what the corporate office doesn't know won't hurt them is the policy

Drama at #Abengoa

Drama and arguments were a daily occurrence it's a mixture of employees from Spain and the US and a few Mexico the Spaniards are very hot tempered irate people there were some very nice people very pleasurable to work with but my supervisor was by far the worst I've ever had he had zero personnel management experience and bring his personal issues to work. Part of my job duties was to ensure compliance with OSHA 1910 and not 1926 whenever I would point out these faults he would get upset and send me home for the day or tell me this is not going to work
