What should I do if I’m not sure an interview was canceled?
I recently had a phone interview with a local, well respected company. They decided to move me on to a video interview, set a date and time with day instruction including contacting them with any questions or concerns about the position before the interview. The same day, after the company workday ended, I received an auto generated email saying the position was filled. In that email there was a link and an invention to apply to other positions. When I looked at the job site, the the position I applied for was still up and able to send an application for. I contacted the interviewer that set up everything for clarification about whether or not the interview is still scheduled or should I reapply to the position since I received an auto generated email. I have yet to hear back from anyone, and the interview is scheduled for tomorrow. Should I still prepare for the interview, reapply or walk away from this company? #interview #advice #application #healthcare #followup
Show up to the interview, I can tell you from personal experience the auto generated responses are typically on a timer and send after the job has been posted the number of days the company determined their budget allowed the post to be sponsored.
I would still show up, I received a similar email 1 year after being hired with a company turned out to be a error with their system.
I would be on the video just in case. If they don't come on the video then it was canceled. If it wasn't canceled and you don't show, then you've lost out. It might have been a mistake with the auto-generated emails from the company.

Yes do. The worst that could happen is you prepared for something that did not happen, but look at it this way, what if it does occur, and you get hired?
You probably got that automatic generated email because they closed the post. They might have all of the applicants they wanted. Doesn’t mean they filled the position. Good luck with your interview!

Always follow up! May be miscommunication, scheduling conflict, or whatever Even if your not hired ! Thanks them for the interview, let them know your still interested in the company ect.
