People talk about a four-day work week to improve quality of life, but that might mean working 10 hours days.

this is the wrong question. Having work-life balance means working less total hours. The point is then to work less, earn not proportionally less, just a little bit less. Or even possibly earn more if you skill up. So that means then to upgrade your skills and ask more for your labor, time and effort.

If your working by the hour you will never make a lot of money, period. People making 6 figures don’t count the hours they work as it is not quantifiable. Keep that in mind. I’ve always made $100k plus and have worked way more than 12 hours a day but that comes with the paycheck Good luck

I work 12 hour days. 3 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off. This works for me. Plus when I want OT.......its always there.......

It really just depends on the job and the 4 day rotation. I have done several combinations of 4 ten hour days, 3 twelve hour days/nights and the normal 5 eight hours as well as 2 twelve and 2 eights. Each worked for the type of position I had at the time and the things outside of work I couldn't control. It depends on what makes the best home work balance.
