Interview practice: Have you ever had a workplace injury or near-miss? What did you learn from that experience?
No I’ve never been injured in the workplace however I did sustain a knee injury on the loading dock once when I was the WH manager early one morning around 4:30am and it was basically because our loading dock light was out and I stepped down off the truck ramp and stepped on the side of the dock’s curb block awkwardly because I couldn’t see it clearly due to non lighting that morning that was my only injury on the job I did return to work after my rehabilitation and continued to do my job I was hired to do for Pan handle deli provision/ Boars Head inc
Yes. I tore up a knee at a client's facility. Also, at another a stack of debris was knocked off of an overhead platform landing six feet from me standing on the floor beside. I learned to be more observant, more vigilant - nobody looks out for my safety better than me.
