how do I find a job and get it easily?
I'm having a terrible time trying to find a job, it's so hard to find one here, and Gary and I don't know who will hire a disabled person in their early twenties. I've fallen on hard times and will be homeless in a few months if I don't get a job. This has put a lot of mental stress on me and I don't know what to do anymore. I've tried everything and it all fails. #disabled #jobsearch #advice

This company is looking for content writers if you are good at writing. Hopefully this will help anyone looking to work from home. Stay motivated, positive and keep pushing. It will happen for you.

Contact your local VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION services in your area. They will help you find a job and get more training.

Check with your local Social Security Office... they have what's called Ticket to Work where they will assign you a counselor and their job it to find you a job... some of the large companies are now hiring people with disabilities... try Amazon if you have one in your area and IBM...

I lived in Gary 1959-61, and know what you're up against. Racism for starters. Consider jobs in these communities: Hobart, IN Griffith, IN Merrillville, IN Portage, IN Hammond, IN Munster, IN Crown Point, IN South Holland, IL
Look for jobs in city and county government, also technology/fabrication, sports facilities like golf courses. Make friends with receptionists. Buy and read 'How to turn an interview into a job" by Jeffrey Allen.
GOOD LUCK!

Also try the local Catholic Charities in your area. They may be able to help you with housing and put you in touch with a social worker. I wish you all the best.

Look for positions that you can do remotely so you don't have the stress of having to deal with transportation. There seem to be alot of remote positions being advertised so hopefully you can find a position that fits with what you want to do.
Leeia,
I suggest you look into organizations that assist with employment for disabled individuals. Technically, you can apply for any job but you have to indicate on your application that you have disabilities.
I suggest checking out some job opportunities for Goodwill, as they are a company that provides employment to the disabled. You can view/apply here (assuming there are Goodwill locations in your area): https://www.goodwill.org/.
Best.
