You're absolutely right hopefully if they stay up they will extend it again. I've been searching and searching staying up 3 a.m. searching all I'm getting is jobs that I don't even qualify for are jobs that pay $11 an hour it's ridiculous. At 1 interview actually interview with four different people for one job and still didn't get the job it's really a joke out here and they think people just don't want to go back to work ain't no good jobs. Got to keep my faith!!!🙏🙏

I had an interview, I thought it went well. I didn't get the job. One of the people in the interview kept my number and called me about two months later and said I gave the best interview for the position but the other person in the interview felt threatened by my interview and credentials so she didn't hire me because she thought I would be her competition. The person that kept my phone number gave me a job lead to a company she was going to work for because she didn't like the business practices that went on at the company I interviewed with. I actually got the job she gave me the lead to. It's still "who you know" sadly.

I must have filled out 50 plus applications for work and 2 callbacks. I then get the infamous email.... although your qualifications were a great match , we decided to pursue with other candidates. Then a month later same job posts again. I worked my last job for 21 years but I know God is saving my blessing just gotta keep waiting.

It does feel like there's a lot of "open positions" being interviewed for that never bear any fruit. You're not the only person I've seen having this problem, and of course it is being spun as "people not wanting to go back to work". Even with a full time job I have to find another just to make ends meet, and I work in what used to be considered a "skilled" career (IT) but now everything is outsourced to India and Hong Kong. I've looked into training and schooling but, honestly, I don't want to take on more astronomically priced "education debt" and not even know if there'll be a job for me when I'm looking. It's truly a sad and scary state that we find ourselves in.

I have had many interviews but no offers for employment, we need to tap the hidden job market. Let your friends, acquaintances, doctors, etc. know that you are looking, maybe they can connect you with people who can offer you the job. Maybe it might be part time and you can get partial unemployment benefits up to so many hours or days of work you claim. Worth a try!

Unemployment benefits are higher than minimum wage. It's surreal. That's why many people do not want to work at low paying jobs. But, I think they stopped those benefits. When someone with degrees is being paid less than what pandemic Unemployment is giving, something is wrong with this country's decisions.
