But my tongue and made amends . I apologized for making a decision about their work ethics. He shook my hand but didn’t say anything else. It all worked out in the end. I knew a senior VP saw what I did and within a month. I was promoted by the second month he was carrying a box out the door. Treat people how you want to be treated and a negative attitude can affect the whole team. Productivity rose , bonus numbers met and attendance increased. Treat your staff with respect.

Since I have been in the position to pre-screen potential new hires, it is always essential not to speak badly regarding a former employer or co-worker. Change the narrative to " I have always been successful regarding being flexible so don't hesitate to let me know what I can do to assist you". Take the emotion out of it. Listen to them. And don't be defensive. Sometimes venting is all that is happening. In real-time.

I never let it get that far being the person that I am Im always thankful for a good job so I'm always in a decent mood and for me not to like someone on the job it would have to be something I've seen them done and even then I will question the situation at hand I don't like being uncomfortable around anyone when I'm in my work environment

I kept it professional because it was for the good of the company. In very job, you're going to have to put ill feelings aside. The main focus is what you are there for.

Always stay in the professional lane. Listened to my employee's concerns. It ended up being a misunderstanding of how something was said and I apologized for the misunderstanding and commented at the end in a lighthearted way that we have been working together for a long time.
