Job Offer: Real or Scam??

Has anyone heard of Pierre Fabre? I have never heard of them until recently, when I received, an interview invite for a Remote Administrative Assistant position. That was last week. today i get an Employment Offer letter, to sign. I want to believe this is all real so badly, because I NEED this! like my kids and I will be on the streets soon... But I am so skeptical because I have been scammed a few times. never lost any money, but I still fell for it and that alone pisses me off. if anyone has any advice or thoughts, I would greatly appreciate it!

I googled Pierre Fabre and they are a legit company. But always check with them because scammers copy company websites. Just check with company on phone number listed on the website YOU google and make sure they were the actual company that is hiring. Always be careful of scams and Good Luck!

Anna, this is a scam. I checked them out and they are a legit pharmaceutical company. And, I fell for the scam fir the remote administrative assistant. I trained with them for 5 days and I signed the contract in my email. I never received my pay fir training. They just wanted me to deposit a large check into my bank account, which I said no I wouldn't do. The minute I said this, they dropped off. I ask fir the number to HR. They didn't respond. Very disappointed as I need a job very badly as well. These acammers need to stopped. I'm so sorry. Praying for you Anna and your family. Hang in there.

A company contacted me asking if I wanted to work remotely for their company. After a little back and forth, I asked, "just curious, how did you find me and know about my qualifications?" She replied on LinkedIn. I immediately cut the conversation because I've never been on LinkedIn, ever.

I just remembered something else! If you fall for a scam, those guys seem to put out the word that you're a good mark (that you'll fall for it) and you'll get more scammers trying to feed off you.

Scammers are sad and disgusting.

I've noticed that on bogus pages the company logo and fine print often look a little blurry as if they were scanned.

Hey @Anna Vachon,

You may find the company phone number and called double-check. I recommend you check their website as well. Check the career page if they hire the position you applied for.

Also, Jobcase has great resourceswhere you find more information about work-from-home jobs.

Good luck.

All businesses should be at least registered in the state that they are headquartered, although technically they should be registered with the Secretary of State’s office. Most states, at least blue states are transparent and provide this information for free online. So Google “business lookup in state of _______” to find search page on your state’s government website.

Administrative Assistant at Self-Employed

Contact the company directly and ask them that you received an offer letter from such and such email. And you interviewed with such and such person. I don't see any remote positions advertised. Did you interview with someone on zoom? Did they show their face. This sounds like a scam. So proceed with lot of caution.
