How can I compete with younger people who are computer savvy? I'm 60 years old and have done nothing but retail, unfortunately the job i had for almost 20 years closed up due to covid 19.

Sherry, As the world continues to evolve, computers are a large part of our current and future functions. I suggest visiting your local library (if available) and other resources to assist you with operating a computer. Believe me, computers look intimidating but they are harmless with responsible users.

I am around your age and have been efficient in computers for almost forty years and my experience begin with typing and keypunching in high school. You need to find some retirees / others who will assist you during this time because there are many people your age that use computers. You just have to look, and listen. I wish you well. Find some free software for typing and speed, practice. Look at some youtube videos and bring yourself up to date. I am a retired teacher looking for another job and you will be amazed at how many younger parents are struggling with the computer now that the students are virtually learning outline. So do not blame it on your age. It's the times. Many people didn't feel it was important to purchase a typewriter. Now its' the computer. All my projects in college were done using the typewriter. I use to tell my friends if the computer had been invented, I would have several PHDs. LOL. Good Luck.
