What motivates you when external recognition is limited?

Make a goal with time line, checking off as accomplished

Appreciation from our guests and our team, love that

As long as I’m finishing my work I don’t need recognition

when I hear the happiness of the customer when above and beyond what they expected

To exceed in everything I do and make the most of every opportunity I get and to keep going till I get there

I'm used to not receiving alot of recognition in my current job because I work in quality control and I have to check other people's work and look for errors etc. however, when I was in the military ( I'm retired now) I was always in charge of several soldiers so I received alot of recognition.

Self-satisfaction. I learned early in my career that basic human nature is selfish, so accolades would be few-if at all. I get my motivation by knowing that I've given my all to a project; so, when that project recieves recognition or praise I am satisfied. I also retain documents of my involvement for later advancement concideration.

Encouraging my self knowing I have the potential to exceed my expectations

My self worth and pride in knowing I'm doing the best that I can do
Measuring progress toward a personal goal
