Does anyone know of how to get into Cyber Security? Entry level positons that lead to more complex and in-depth positions?

During my #jobsearch, I have encountered many #scams and it is beyond frustrating. However...I am changing that #mentality to one where I don a cape and fight crime!!

I confirm the scam with the original company by calling or emailing - notifying the company that I will not be responding to ANY job offers until the employer is verified. Then, if confirmed, I:

  • Report the scam to reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/
  • Notify the company and provide ALL information regarding the false offer.
  • Post it on LinkedIn and Facebook - (I'm new here but perhaps I'll do it here too!)

As someone who has been scammed before, I have sworn that it will never happen again.

A position in Cyber Security would further #educate me and enable me to help others as well.

It's a #curiosity that I'm looking to #explore :)

A suggestion, check into cyber security with your local police or local mayor's office as it all begins with how they run the gamut scope of clearing up on the damage. Every state has a specific department within them that manages cyber and from what I am aware of in my studies and research as a writer, it does enlarge over time due to the activity taking effect both domestically and overseas. You are very correct we need to take action and what your plan of action is sounds wonderful which is why I do suggest to contact at the local level first. I wish you the very best on this matter.

Hi Christine, My son started an entry level position as an IT Tech and within a year he was moved up to and entry level position in Cyber Security at a bank.

He has a 4 year degree in Cyber Security as well as Computers. So I would suggest to start looking on-line for jobs, as he did, for Entry Level IT or Cyber Security positions. He is currently working on Certification for Cyber Security as well. That may help you to have that.

Search any company career page for cybersecurity positions and note their required educational requirements. You should then obtain the certifications necessary to demonstrate you have acquired the fundamental knowledge to be in cybersecurity, like CompTia Network and Security +, and ISSP. Good Luck.

I opted for the Protectimus On-Premise MFA platform, and I'm thoroughly satisfied with its robust security features. The flexibility to deploy it on-premises or in a private cloud aligns perfectly with our organization's infrastructure. The integration options with various systems, including Active Directory and LDAP, have made the setup process seamless. The dynamic strong password authentication adds an extra layer of security that's invaluable in today's digital landscape. programmable MFA device has truly impressed me with their commitment to offering security solutions that adapt to different environments.
