We were getting too many employees calling in sick and putting too much load on the rest of the staff. To many employees arriving late or leaving early. I implemented a bonus for all those that attained there 40 hours. Many rose to the occasion and increased our productivity. Those that couldn't rise above there poor habits and could not see the benefit were eventually replaced with new hires and actually the work force is now happier and more productive. It was a classic win/win

A few years ago, I found my spectrophotometer UV bulb died, and both management personnel were at an out of town seminar. Testing had to be done regardless of my issue with equipment. Procured a PO and ordered the replacement part, in addition, I called several local labs to arrange sample analysis on their equipment. All testing was completed and with overnight shipping, I was up and running the next day.

Why do we have to be in a box to think outside of it? I've never liked that question.

I don't like boxes , there for I always have a solution before a problem arises or for when the problem happens to make a special appearance.

Great question. One example of thinking outside of the box in healthcare is the use of telemedicine. In many rural or remote areas, patients may have limited access to medical care, which can lead to delayed diagnosis and treatment. By utilizing telemedicine, healthcare providers can connect with patients remotely and provide timely medical care.
Another example is the use of health coaching. Many chronic conditions, such as diabetes or heart disease, require ongoing management and lifestyle changes. However, patients may struggle to make these changes on their own. By providing health coaching services, healthcare providers can work with patients to develop personalized plans and provide ongoing support, leading to improved patient outcomes.
Overall, by looking beyond traditional methods and utilizing innovative solutions, healthcare providers can help ensure positive patient outcomes and improve access to care.

When you don't like the answers or the situation (s) then Change your Premises. Thinking outside the box is an all time thing. No situation (s) are the same, stay with in guideline's and adhere to practical. Anybody can throw things until something sticks but that does NOT necessarily solve the problem in a timely manner.

I had three different bosses and each one had their own way of doing tasks. I adapted and mixed them to become pretty good at my job

I have had to solve a problem by going out of the box .I had no problem doing so

Sometimes we overthink, and we makes things more complicating than it’s shouldn’t be , ask help I no shame because everything scenario is different
