I work for Target as a Security Specialist and love the entire Target team at my location. If you're considering starting a career at Target now is a good time. I've worked a lot of places and been in management for many years. What I appreciate about Target is the inclusive team culture & the communication between team members, team leaders and management. I love the fact that when I turn on my walkie and announce I'm in for the day, team members respond with a "Hey, Jai, great to have you here today!" I hear TL's providing direction for team members all day, shout outs from team members to their co workers for jobs well done & appreciation to those who step up to help out when customer waves are at peak activity. And in case you or someone you know has a record, Target is a Second Chance employer!!

I had a great evaluation. I left because my home was flooded during a natural disaster and I had no place to live.

Used to work both night and day shifts. I definitely enjoyed night ones cuz our team worked together really well and we set our own goals to accomplish for the shift and nearly always exceeded them. Day shift was a bit different as we had management constantly involved so it went a lot slower. Overall though i really enjoyed spending time with my coworkers and getting things done. Happy to have been there and definitely recommend it for people looking for a job to build a good work ethic and teamwork skills.

A lot of coworkers at my store have been talking a lot about the modernization changes and how they affect us. I started about a year ago and I don’t think my workload has changed much more at all but there are plenty of more things to do, if that makes sense. A couple TMs who have been here awhile have left because they don’t like the idea of their raises being cancelled by the minimum wage increase but most people are pretty happy by it. Anyway that is my experience at Target.
